Camryn Marquez A particularly experimental record that seeks out the future using tools crafted in the past. Aesthetics- genres- are tools that have proven themselves to be compelling and effective at evoking emotion, but as we head into the future, Violence is making efforts to use these tools to craft more unique and refulgent architectural wonders. Here is an averring of confidence and creativity to assuage our insufferable avarice. Favorite track: Theia Collides with Earth, the Birth of Apophenia, Nomenclature.

about

VIOLENCE’s A Ruse of Power is their debut album on NON Worldwide, following collaborative contributions on Mykki Blanco Presents C-ORE.
Lyrically, the album explores archetypal memory and the oppressive nature of history. Sonically, it is an intricate and fluid exploration of noise, grime, RnB, black metal, and industrial merged with pop sensibilities.
